Doctors Without Borders (or Médecins Sans Frontières, in French) is a private, non-profit, international humanitarian aid organization whose mission is to provide medical assistance to populations in danger, in accordance to the Principles of the Doctors Without Borders Charter in more than 70 countries.
The partnership aims to strengthen a UNICEF program in the Ucayali region of Peru, which provides greater opportunities for the development of adolescents in vulnerable situations, ensuring access to environments that promote their mental health, quality healthcare services, and risk prevention programs.
Through their contribution to WHO Foundation, AIEP is supporting an initiative to increase access to essential treatment and care for neurological disorders in low and middle income countries. These conditions include dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, and more. This work is done by WHO Foundation together with national governments, health systems, and local stakeholders.
